Youth Programming

On a rotating basis, our studio supports local high school students in a work skills training program provided by The Braddock Youth Project (BYP). We host members of the Media Team who spend time working on community print & design projects and their own individual artworks.  These workshops provide access to computers, design software, and screen printing equipment as well as teach foundation art and design principles, job skills and entrepreneurship. Above all, the print shop provides a reliable safe space that encourages self expression and engages youth in a broader public dialogue, forming a circuit for speaking up and giving back to their community. This is a sampling of the work we’ve produced together, highlighting the unique and multidimensional voices of our youth artists.
